Why would you do minotaurs instead of hydras? Check out these drops I got from hydras....

Not to mention my claws :P

Like that stack of molten claws?

Anyways... I think hydras drop better.
Either way, good build/posts.

If you can't tank all the minos in Elonas (which are really only two additional minos), then something is wrong. I always pull those two in the beginning down with me because it's faster, (You don't even really need to cast prot before you do, I would if you're new to 55ing though.)

Also, since I noticed that you didn't make ANY mention about attribute points, I'll put my .02 in.

Healing: 10
Smiting: 16 obviously
Protection: 11
Divine: 10

You can take a point out of Protection and add it to divine favor if you really want, but I see no need for it.

This is the build I use, which is very similar to my UW solo build.

Prot spirit
Healing Breeze
Bonetti's
Shield Of Judgment {E}
Blessed Sig (can be switched out for Zealots, although neither are really needed.)
Blessed Aura
Balthazaar's Spirit
Mending

Also, I agree with the above; hydras are much more fun, and give better drops. The build above works great for them as well.

Edit: I also agree that there is absolutely no need for sprint.

Just to be fair I tried out the mino farming, and I got the crappiest drops I've ever seen. The best thing I got was a gold Shield of the Wing....

Armor 16 (req 9 tactics)
Health +30 (while in a stance)
Damage -2 (while in a stance)

And that was from a Dune Burrower. I sold most of the horns for 100 gold each though, and the Burrower Jaws go for 200g each.

All in all, this is WAY easier, but Hydras give better stuff.

There easier to farm than hydras and there are more you can aggro at a time. You can quickly aggro 10+ minos right at the front and kill them all. With hydras its challenging to aggro that many and even if you do they can't all attack you at once makeing it take 2 or more SoJ's. Also hydras knock down.

However hydras do drop more weapons and gold drops than minos wh drop mostly collectable drops... Over all there about the same. Anyways Boters like minos XD. I'm not a farm bot.

Also golds are randomly dropped so its not like hydras drop better moded weapons.

Are there any markers as to where you should run to to minimize the chance of "laggards" arriving late and dying more slowly than the others?

I use Slivernewal rather than 55 HP anything, and so I'm killing them differently, but probably at a similar speed (Sliver Armor + Aftershock + Crystal Wave + a few Stone Daggers). But sometimes half the fight is with the last couple of guys who ran up from far away.

Of course, I could just pick up all the loot and zone out without killing them, but that doesn't really feel right.

I can do a run every two minutes if things go well, every three if I screw up. If I REALLY screw up, I occasonally even die. That's when I know I'm tired enough to consider quitting.

I've noticed 3-4 minos often get stuck in a group right under the bridge between the two dune burrowers. My solution is to attack them where they stand, dragging the main group of minos along with me (just keep your defensive skills up while you move). That usually gets any running minos as well, leaving only the 3 minos that stay behind the traps/burrowers to either side of the entry point (and you can kill those too, but its generally not worth the time).

Hmm. I've tended to assume that once I'm surrounded by 6+ minotaurs, I'm body blocked from moving. But I haven't actually tested this.

hmmm these are the skills i use for farming trolls near droks////
for a lvl 20 mon/w.........

-bathizars spirit

-essense bond

-mending

-protective spirit

-healing breeze

-SOJ

-zealots fire

- sprint

you put bath spirit/ essaance bond/ and mending on before you do anything! super imortant! once ur in talus shoot u go striaght for the cave!! DO NOT FIGHT THE AVRIC when you are a 55 monk!! once ur in the cve get decetly close to the trolls and put on prot. spirit and healing breeze. once ya get em all aggroed up use SOJ (sheild of judjment) KEEP AN EYE ON BREEZE AND PROT. SPIRIT!! IF PROT SPIRIT GOES AWAY U ARE SCREWED SO BAD! keep using SOJ and spam prot and breeeze. at the last second you can use zealots fire when the trolls are almost dead. i do NOT recommend using zealots fire while power lvling someone.this is a AOE skill and makes them run therefore they kill the person u r power lvling! :P thats pretty much it, pick up there drops, go back to droks and start again!

i hope this helped anyone wanted to learn how to do this!
